DESTINATIONS
Gobi Desert Umnugobi province with its largest territory locates in the area of Gobi Desert. The gobi holds many attractions such as southern part of Altai range – mountains of Gobi Gurwan Saikhan, Sevrei, Noyon Bogd, Nomgon, Tsost, Nemeegt, Altai uul, Gilbent which are elevated over 3000 meters above the sea level and the great sand dunes of Khongoryn Els which continues 185 km to the North of the country, the widest deserts such as Shalba, Borzon, Zeemeg, Zag and Suuj. [More...] Bayanzag- The Flaming Cliffs First discovered by Roy Chapman Andrews, famous American explorer in the 1920, flaming cliffs of Bayanzag are an important site for both archeological and paleonthological finds. Complete dinosaur (protocertops) and Egg-thief (Oviraptor) and numerous eggs were excavated in ravines between the red flaming cliffs, which look like fire in the middle of the desert from distance. [More...] The Middle Gobi Desert Middle region is features by endless grassy plains which connect the arid desert region with the central Mongolian mountain steppe zone. The Middle Gobi encompasses a number of with natural beauty, including the Sangiin Dalai Temple, Baga Gazriin Chuluu, Sum Huh Burd and Mt. Zorgol Khairkhan. The main town in the Middle Gobi-Mandalgobi is situated in 260 kilometers southwest of Ulaanbaatar. [More...] Hongor Els Sand Dunes Hongor Els sand dunes, the largest sea of sand stretch for 180 kilometers. The widths of the sand stretch exceed several miles and highest peaks tower up to over 250 feet. At the northern edge of the dunes one bank of Hongoriin gol river, there is an oasis, which is rich in plantation and supports drinking water of animal species in the region. [More...]

Itineraries

Day 01 Ulaanbaatar city
Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and check in hotel.

Day 02 Bayanhongor province
Today, the trip will start by the flight to Bayanhongor province, where our drivers will await you. Lunch and dinner will be supplied in real nature with convenient and comfortable chairs and table – under the star sky of Gobi. Overnight on the way in tent – first night in Great Gobi.

Day 03 Khongoryn Els sand dunes
After breakfast, we continue the trip to Khongoryn Els sand dunes, which extends over 180 km. Lunchbox. On the way meet local camel breeding family. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 04 Khongoryn Els sand dunes
After breakfast, will explore the area of Khongoryn Els sand dunes and Sevrei mountain. Lunchbox. Then, will continue the around trip of Khongoryn Els sand dunes and have enjoyable camel riding – camel rent is available in local place. Overnight in tourist camp..

Day 05 South Gobi via Bayanzag & Flaming Cliffs
After breakfast will drive to explore Bayanzag – biggest saxaul forest and Flaming cliffs, where you will find the archaeology place, when Roy Andrew Chapman discovered fossilized dinosaurs skeleton and eggs in 1920s. Driving through South Gobi will give you a great impression by view of the flora and fauna of northern desert in the world. Lunch – picnic. At end of the day will arrive in Gobi tourist camp. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 06 Yol Canyon
Today we have a day trip to Yol Canyon – exciting place, which composed from rocky high mountain ranges of Three Beauties of Gobi and Altai mountain. Lunch. Dinner in the tourist camp. Overnight in tourist camp.

Day 07 Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, In the morning we were flying to Ulaanbaatar. Lunch, dinner in restaurant in Ulaanbaatar, overnight in hotel.

Day 08 Terelj Khan Khenty National Park
We will drive around 70 km to reach the National Park Terelj Khan Khenty – most exciting place near the city. Lunch. Explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, which some of them looks quite similar with Turtle, person who reading book and others – by walking or horse riding, where we need to rent horses from local area. Then, going to meet local people. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 09 Departure
After breakfast will be transferred from hotel to train station or airport.

Isn’t Mongolian Gobi the most wonderful place, is it? A very beautiful! I wanted to say it again and round Mongolia for 12 days. Wend to a dinosaurs land with a camel and stayed in next to Orhon waterfall. Mongolia has a clear blue sky, so you can see thousands of stars in night time. We will go back at 4.00am. I liked Mongolian people’s kindness. Specially the family we stayed was a really nice for us. Happy for they gave us a dry curd, milk, airag (Mongolian alcohol from milk-Kumis) and more. (Continue)
