Itineraries
Day 01 Ulaanbaatar
Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and check in hotel.
Day 02 Selenge province
Early in the morning will start our trip to the north /Selenge province/. Lunchbox – on the way. Continue drive and explore the current province natural region, which includes the forest, river, steppe and exotic wildlife, and across Orkhon river and arrive to tourist camp at late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 03 Amarbayasgalant monastery
After breakfast will visit the ancient Amarbayasgalant monastery is the second main one in Mongolia and will attend in the morning praying meeting of monks. Lunch. Then, we can have the trekking around the place and taking the picture of beautiful nature. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 04 Bulgan small city
After breakfast, we will drive to Bulgan city. Lunchbox. On the way explore local area flora and fauna and visit the nomads family. Dinner in the nature. Overnight in tent.
Day 05 Murun city
Expedition will be continued by driving to the north /Khuvsgul province/. On the way will explore Taiga region nature and wildlife and meet local nomad people. Lunch and dinner in the nature. Overnight in tent.
Day 06 Sebirian Taiga
After breakfast, will drive through Taiga region. On the way will experience local nomads family lifestyle and explore the beautiful landscape of local area. Lunch – picnic. In the late afternoon arrive to Khuvsgul lake – top attraction of Mongolia; preview from high point the local area and come to the tourist camp. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 07 Khuvsgul lake
After breakfast, discovering the Khuvsgul lake is great interesting and amazing activity, which is top attraction of country and explore it by walking. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 08 Rein deer
After breakfast, horse rent is available in local place, which covered with birch trees surrounded the lake and meet local reindeer family and to fish near shores of lake. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 09 Taiga
The route to the steppe region will be quite exciting with exploration of attractive landscape composition of mountain, forest, grassland and rivers. Lunchbox. Driving continuously and visit local nomads family. Dinner in the nature. Overnight in tent.
Day 10 Khorgo extinct volcano crater and Terkhiin tsagaan lake
After breakfast, will drive to Horgo will explore and discover the Horgo extinct volcano crater, which crater deep is 200 meters, and Terkhiin tsagaan lake – good spot for bird watching and fishing. Lunchbox. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 11 Khorgo extinct volcano crater and Terkhiin tsagaan lake
After breakfast, will drive to Horgo will hiking. Lunchbox. Horse – exploring their lifestyle and cooking. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 12 Taikhar rock
Next destination is the Taikhar rock – unique rock, which situating in plain place. Lunchbox. After arrival in Taikhar rock will explorie the river, nature landscape and wildlife by walking and can have good photo shots. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 13 Tsenkher hot spa
After breakfast, drive back to Tsetserleg administrative center of Arkhangai province. Lunch – picnic. Drive to Tsenkher hot spa, which water temperature reaches up to + 80 C degrees and have a bath under blue sky. Explore the local area by walking. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 15 Monastery Erdene-Zuu & Karakorum city
The Kara-Korum – capital city of Mongolian Empire was founded in times of Chinggis Khaan - 12th century. Meanwhile, we will visit the Monastery – Erdene-Zuu, with 108 stupas and was built in 1586. Then will drive to the tourist camp. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 15 Khongoryn Els sand dunes via Bayanzag & Flaming Cliffs
Today’s first spot is the Bayanzag – biggest saxaul forest and Flaming Cliffs, where you will find the archeology place, when Roy Andrew Chapman discovered fossilized dinosaurs skeleton and eggs in 1920s. Lunchbox. Visit the local nomad family to experience their live and discover traditional dwelling – ger and taste traditional diary products. In the late afternoon will arrive in Khongoryn Els sand dunes. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 16 Khongoryn Els sand dunes
We will explore local area of Khongoryn sand dunes and Sevrei Mountain by walking or have enjoyable camel riding – camel rent is available in local place. Lunch – picnic. Expedition around the Khongoryn Els sand dunes and Sevrei Mountain gives impressive nature view. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 17 South Gobi
After breakfast, we will have a drive to Dalanzadgad administrative center of South Gobi province. Drive to tourist camp. Lunch. Drive to Yol canyon – exciting place, which composed from rocky high mountain ranges of Three Beauties of Gobi and Altai Mountain. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 18 Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, we will have a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Drive to Terelj National park (71 km) – most exciting place near the city. We will explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, which some of them looks quite similar with Turtle, person who reading book and others – by walking or horse riding, where we need to rent horses from local area. The Terelj National Park is one of the part of Khenty Mountain Range. Lunch in the tourist camp. Then, we will visit local horse breeding family. There we have a chance to experience the nomads way of life. Dinner and overnight in ger camp.
Day 19 Departure
After breakfast, we will have a drive to Ulaanbaatar. Tumen ekh Ensemble. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 20 Departure
After breakfast will be transferred from hotel to train station or airport.

We are traveling in Mongolia. We will leave tomorrow. But now we are writing our appreciation on a “Tourist’s impressions” note. We went to a old Horgo volcano-traveled in Terhiin Tsagaan lake with a horse for eight days. My daughter loved her horse and wanted to take him back with her. Haha, Further more, Mongolian people area very civil, kindness and their migrate methods are very exotic.
Just like driving a benz. Haha, so we promised we will come back and see a beautiful Gobi. (Continue)
